ART. MUSIC. FOOD. FIRE

Last Saturday one of my friends and I visisted the Third Degree Glass Factory loacated on Delmar in the Saint Louis Loop after dinner.I have to admitt that I never noticed the building till now.

Through word of mouth I heard about this glass blowing place that was located down in the Loop. That night they were showing glass blowing demonstrations and were allowing people to make glass tiles, while a local band played. The factory was started by Jim McKelvey and Doug Auer 2002. The factory includes a public gallery that is open during the week and they also have several events they put on monthly, such as a open house. The factory was very large inside and had tons of glass art pieces on display. The pieces that they had on display ranged from vases, paperweights, flowers, bottles, plates, cups, and many other things.

Third Degree Glass Factory also offers classes and demonstrations. For more information click here.
